A lens that sharpens our worldview

The aim if Community Cinema to increase an appreciation of all types of film as we educate and increase civic engagement and increase discussion and engagement with all kinds of key social issues of our time. The initiative features screenings of films from all over the world in venues across the City and County in all community languages and on an array of topics. Independent films, shorts, features and animation are all part of the menu.
We are a not-for-profit and volunteer-led community cinema, supporting and organising pop-up film events at a range of venues.
We encourage people to come together to make new connections and meet up with friends. We aim to provide at least one event a month within the locality. Everyone is welcome to come to our screenings, but booking in advance is recommended to be sure of a place.
